Genetic testing is becoming more common even for people who show no outward symptoms of a diseases.Do you think it’s beneficial to know whether you carry a mutated gene? Are there are any negative consequences?

Yes of course it is necessary..because each and every change in gene is carried to the next generation..so it is beneficial and it can also be corrected through germinal and somatic gene therapy..these genes are from our parents and will carry on to our children

Yes is beneficial to know if there is a trend on gene mutations. ( there is current scientific research on mutation gene with autism children). The only negative consequence I can think of is doctors manipulating the genes to create perfect humans resistant to current illnesses, there is no good research on the sequences of manipulation of genes.
