Solution:

Given, that,probability that Jason will order an appetizer in a restaurant (event A) is= 0.6

Probability that Jason will order soup in a restaurant (event B) is= 0.3

⇒ Probability that Jason will order an appetizer,given that he orders the soup, is 0.3 = As Ordering of Soup and appetizer are independent events, so required Probability= P(A) × P (B)

= 0.6 × 0.3
