At one point in Romeo and Juliet, the character of the servant is given a guest-list containing the names of the people he's supposed to invite to a party that is going to be celebrated. The problem is that he cannot read, that's why he needs Romeo's help and ends up asking him for assistance. The servant goes up to Romeo and asks whether or not he is able to read in order to help him out.

Hope this helps you!
