This letter received the name of the Charter of the People was written on June 7, 1837 at the British Coffee House in London, addressed to the parliament, seeking a political, electoral and social reform. It provoked the agitation of the working class against the Law of the Poor. Some of the petitions written in the letter were elevated to the category of laws.
