The first graph represents the equation y=2x. Always remember (!) that rise/run= slope (rise over run equals the slope of the line.) In this case, the rise is two units, while the run is one unit. So when rise/run=2/1, anything divided by one is just itself, like multiplication. Then, plugging this into the equation format (y=mx+b) the slope, x=2.
