The world population is very dynamic, as it is changing literally every second, though we can sum it up as closely as possible to a certain number. According to the world population clock, the world population is 7,714,576,923 people, but literally it will change in the moment that we look again into it.

The population on a global scale is constantly increasing, though the trend of increasing is constantly going down, so from the maximum values of around 2% annual increase in the 1960's, nowadays is only around 1.07%, and that is mainly because in most of the world the fertility rates have significantly dropped.

The only continent where the population is quickly increasing and the birthrates are still on a very high level is Africa, and it is the only the only reason why the world population is increasing, instead of decreasing.
