What’s Machiavelli beliefs about what makes a great leader

Some of Machiavelli's beliefs include, but are not limited to:

Immoral behavior to be punishable by death in politics.

Effective leaders can manipulate the weaker traits of other people. (As in he can manipulate people into believing what he wants to them to.)

Machiavelli expresses several characteristics which he believes are necessary for 'the ideal Prince' to posses, however, the one quality which he stresses the most is generosity. A Prince must be generous and never appear to be miserly, even if he is.
