Answer: The immigration of Irish and German to the US during 1810 to be precise was a total of 7.5million people, which were basically more than the population of the US at that time. This people emigrated due to civil unrest, lack of work and severe economic system in their various countries and at the time they came to the US, the Burgeoning companies were able to absorb all that required work. So they work building railroad and constructing canals and they were also involved in every labor intensive work during that period. So therefore, most of the early development of US was made by both the Irish and German immigrant.
