How to turn 34 into a scientific notation

To write a number in scientific notation, you move the decimal to the left until there's only one number in front of the decimal. Then, square it by ten by the number of the times you moved the decimal.

For example, 1,453 would become 1.453 × 10^3.

So 34 in scientific notation would be 3.4 × 10^1.

Hope this helps!
