Between Au3+ and Au+ which has a larger radius and why​

Answer:

Au+ has larger radius than Au3+

  • Atomic no. of au is 79 , to become au3+ it has to loose 3 electrons and to become au+ it has to loose one electron
  • if it loose 3 electrons the nucleus force will bound the other electrons strongly and the orbital radius will become small as compared to the parent atom
