Rhyme and meter are two main aspects of poetry. Rhyme occurs when two words share the same sound ending as in, for example, sing and ring. It is the repetition of sound, the beats of the stanza. Meter is the occurrence of stressed and unstressed parts of a series of words in a line. It´s an element of Rhyme which marks the appearance of repeated sounds. Rhyme and Meter give the poem the musicality and the tone of each stanza. They help to build the Rhythm of the poem and give each stanza a particular meaning and tone when reading it.
