1) The Articles of Confederation created loose sovereign states and a weak central government,leaving most of the power with state governments.
The need for a stronger Federal government soon became apparent and eventually led to the Constitution Convention in 1787.
2) Shays rebellion showed the weakness of The Articles of Confederation.
3 ) The US Constitution made the central government very strong to take tough decisions and removed all the weaknesses mentioned above.
