Answer: Polynucleotide

Explanation: Polynucleotides are the chain of nucleotide monomers covalently bonded to each other. One such example is DNA which Deoxyribose nucleic acid and have a very distinct biological function. They store the genetic information and also transmit this information from one generation to another. Another example of polynucleotide is RNA which helps in the transcription of complex proteins.

All life uses polynucleotides as the basis for storing and transmitting the genetic information.
