The Constitution has only been amended 17 more times since 1791. Why do you think the writers made the process of adding amendments so complicated

Because the government is something made to be strong and stay that way if people are changing it left and right the constitutions power to our welfare is limited and leads to a less desirable society. Hope this helps! Good Luck!!
