A cultural bias is when a person or the society itself judges other societies based off the standards of their society instead of a neutral benchmark.

For people descended from European ancestors, this takes the form of a "western bias" wherein people are only able to see the amazing things that were done by Europeans and European blooded people. This might take the form of ignoring the contributions of the Muslim world or ignoring the innovations of countries throughout Asia, Africa, and South America.
