Hi,

• Socrates- Socratic method

• Plato-The Republic

• Aristotle-inductive reasoning

Explanation

In Greek, a philosopher is a lover of wisdom.A person engaging, learning and practicing philosophy as an academic subject is a philosopher.Three famous philosophers in Greek were Socrates, Plato and Aristotle.

Socrates was the famous of all whose main idea was based on achieving practical results through applying philosophy in our lives. His contribution was the Socratic Method that applies discussions, arguments and dialogues as the technique to recognize the truth.

Plato was a student of Socrates who made contributions to the works of his master Socrates.Plato was a political scientist whose works were based on dialect, ethics and physics. The Republic was a major contribution to politics by Plato with its central idea as Utopian society.

‘Excellence is not an act but a habit’, was Aristotle statement to emphasize that humans are what they repeatedly do.Being a student of Plato, he did studies in diverse topics and came up with the concept that human knowledge is based on perception.According to him, what has been found to be true most of the times, or believed to be true combine to determine a particular conclusion. This is inductive reasoning. That's why we still purse academics today because we believe it’s a key to a better life!

Best Wishes!
