Why do you think john adams went from distrusting political parties to becoming a member of the federalist party?

John Adams moved his allegiances over to parties to advance his other ideas about what the new Federal government should look like.

While Adams was afraid about the power of political parties, he also saw parties as inevitable and got on board to further advance his agenda.
