For share croper, it was long and hard. when you couldnt pay the amount for the land, you share croped. you would plant the cotton, care and grow the cotton, and when harvest time came the landonwer would take most of the crop,and you would end up in more debt than when you started. The day was long, hard, there was not enough food for you since you were in debt.
