can someone help me to solve this queestion on Conditional Probability. In Evs and Life Science class, 25% of the students are boys and 75% of them are girls. The probability that boys passed in Statistics is 0.4 and the probability that girls passed in Statistics is 0.25. One student is selected at random. What is the probability that the selected student is passed in statistics?​

Explanation:

If a boy student was picked, the probability that they passed is 0.25 * 0.4 = 0.1.

If a girl student was picked, the probability that they passed is 0.75 * 0.25 = 0.1875.

Total probability = (0.1 + 0.1875) * 100% = 28.75%.
