ZA and ZB are supplementary angles. If m A = (6x – 30)° and m

ZB = (8x + 28)°, then find the measure of ZA.

Explanation:

Supplementary angles : Add up to 180°.

Therefore (6x - 30)° + (8x + 28)° = 180°,

14x - 2 = 180, 14x = 182, x = 13.

Hence mA = [6(13) - 30]° = 48°.
