a restaurant uses 93/2 ounces of cheese to make 3 pizzas.how many ounces of cheese would it take 1 pizza written as an improper fraction(fraction greater than one).

93/2(1) = 3(x)

93/2 = 3x

as we knew that any standing alone is on one do

3x = 93

1 2

cross multiple

3x(2) = 93(1)

6x = 93

we divide both side by 6 so

6x = 93

6 6

so 6 cancel out 6 living x

x = 93

6

we see if they can be divided and we divide then but if they can't we leave it like that

x = 93

6

they can't divide without a reminder
