Why Louisiana’s economic recovery after the Civil War was so difficult.

Answer: After the war, the economy was down. People didn't have jobs or a lot of money to help their families. Louisiana was so poor that it was hard to build it back up. Also, the freedmen weren't working on plantations and no one else knew how to plant and harvest crops.
