Answer:

this is a right angle triangle.

which means that we can use hypotenuse theorem to solve it.

the hypotenuse theorem:-

a^2 +b^2 =c^2

where a and b are the sides opposite to the hypotenuse.

[(the longest side) the longest side of the triangle is always opposite to the right angle]

so...

a = 24

b = 7

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

24^2 + 7^2 = c^2

576 + 49 = c^2

625 = c^2

don't stop here, you could lose marks. I have seen my classmates do this silly and small mistake and lose 1/2 a mark.

√625 = c

25 = c

thus the length of the third side is 25.
