Ten children will share a bag of candy consisting of 78 pieces. Every child will receive the same number of pieces. What is the greatest number of pieces of candy each child can receive?

Answer:

The max that each chiles can receive is 7 pieces. This is because when you have a remainder in this type of equation that cannot pass it out without using fractions you keep it away.

78÷10=7.8, so roughly 7-8 pieces of candy per child.
