Why should I value things I can't touch?

Answer:

You should value things you cannot touch - like thoughts and feelings - because they help you experience emotions and bonds between people that you otherwise could not feel. Even thinking is something you cannot touch; heck, if I wasn't able to think, I wouldn't be able to write this response. The things we cannot touch are closely linked to how we react to things we can indeed touch. If a friend was upset and you weren't able to feel emotions, you wouldn't be there for them and you most likely wouldn't understand what they are going through.
