y = 3x - 2

Since it is parallel to y = 3x - 1, it has its slope, but also when x = -2, y = -8.

Create an equation... starting with:

y = 3x

When x = -2, y = -8:

y = 3x - 2

Check work by substituing x for -2:

y = 3(-2) - 2

y = -6 - 2

y = -8 ✔️
