Why did both Northerners and

Lincoln gets a message from the officer at Fortification Sumter. Northerners didn't need bondage and they had just vowed to permit subjugation proceed in regions in which it was at that point set up (yet halted the spread to new regions). Southerners dismissed the arrangement since they would not like to settle.
