Why does the transfer of energy stop?​

Im guessing you are refering to organism energy for when they consume each other. There is not enough energy left for the organisms to consume. When an organism is eaten, the organism that ate it only get 10% of the energy that the other organism had, therefore after this process happens over and over again there is not enough energy left to even consume.
