How are divergent boundaries between tectonic plates different from convergent boundaries?

Convergent is Colliding
Divergent is Dividing
Transforming is Sliding

Divergent boundaries is when new crust forms as the plates pull away from each other, and convergent boundaries is when crust is destroyed as one plate dives under another.
