The Codex consisted of 282 Rules That specifically mentioned a set of actions that were considered as "Crimes" and specific type of punishments for every Crimes. These rules covered almost every important aspects of their life. (One example : The punishment for stealing within the codex of Hammurabi is having your hands cut by the executioners)
