Okay so basically all you do is first subtract 2 from 2 and from 17. positive minus a negative 2 cancels out. Once this is done, you simplify your answer to 5x<15. Then, you divide both sides by 5 to get the variable by itself. 5x divided by 5 cancels out to 1 and 15 divided by 5 equals 3. This means that you answer will be x<3 and being that you did not multiply or divide by any negatives, the inequality sign stays the same and doesn’t flip... I hope this helps
