How did the New Deal change the relationship between the American people and the federal government?

Many Americans trusted the government for once. Prior to FDR’s presidency president Hoover caused mass fear amongst the American citizens towards the government and many simply did not trust it. The new Deal improved the life’s of many Americans and American citizens felt that they can trust FDR and the government. It was a slow process but the government gained its citizens trust back
