humans moved from hunting and gathering to farming in the first agricultural revolution. when they dropped the seeds of wild plants on the ground after eating them, they noticed that they grew into new plants. they began to grow more crops this way, which lead them to have an abundance of food and they no longer had to lead nomadic lifestyles. they also eventually started domesticating animals.
