What is the slope of a line that is perpendicular to the line y=2x+3?

Hello!

Perpendicular lines have slopes that are opposite reciprocals.

It means we take a number, flop it over and then make it negative.

So if we have 2, we flop it over:


(1)/(2)

Then, we make it negative:


-(1)/(2)
