3 √(x + 2) = √(x + 4)


(3 √(x + 2) )^(2) = ( √(x + 4) )^(2)


9x + 18 = x + 4


9x - x = 4 - 18


8x = - 14


x = - (14)/(8)


x = - (7)/(4)
