Explanation:

Given that,

Total number of teenagers at a swim meet = 50

Let there are 2x locals and 3x out of town participants. The ratio of locals to out-of-town participants is 2:3.

ATQ,

2x+3x = 50

5x = 50

x = 10

Out of town teenagers = 3x

= 3(10)

= 30

Hence, there are 30 teenagers travelled from out-of-town to the swim meet.
