Both are dividing the new nation (America) from Britain, as it was before. The French and Indian War was a war where the french fought on the U.S. side and most indians fought on the British side because they were promised American land.

The French and Indian war helped the colonists gain there most beneficial ally , France which helped lead to the colonists become independent from Great Britain... Britain’s economy was suffering of debt because of the war which made them tax heavier and angered the colonists
